May 6th: Competitors flocked to the bank holiday Monday fundraising trial, held with Lorna Owen at Higher Hagley Farm, Obley, Craven Arms. The day was a huge success with a high demand for runs. There were two sessions, judged by Graham Powell and Bryan Pugh. The trial was set in a 15-acre field with an outrun of around 350 yards. The white Welsh half-bred yearlings were worked in fours and stood well at the lift. The drives, 300 yards in total, were set to the left. The shed could take a bit of time and some handlers were timed up before they could pen within the nine minutes.

BBC Alba will be filming the sixth series of the popular 'Farpaisean Chon-Chaorach, covering prominent Scottish sheepdog trials in 2013, the Scottish National and the International. The programme is usually shown at the beginning of the following year twice a week, at 9pm Tuesdays and 9pm Saturdays. On Channel 168 on Sky, and 110 on Freesat. Current episodes are available for one week on BBC iPlayer (click here). Repeats are sometimes shown throughout the year at the same times.
The archive is ready to collect items such as newspaper articles and memorabilia for copying (and returning) or to be donated for safekeeping if no longer required.
We hold collection points at all the Nationals and the International.
We are looking for ISDS trials programmes, local trials programmes, trials reports, articles on handlers and dogs. All information will be entered onto a database, and eventually onto a website.
The Welsh contact is Mrs Sue Main, and she will be available at the Welsh National, and the main contacts are the ISDS CEO Mrs Judith Sheen (who will be available in the ISDS tent), Kim Gibson (01765 658082 or email@example.com) and Andrew Hall (01759 368577 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
